You always observed other people's wrist to see the names of their soulmate. For some reason it intrigued you to see who would fall in love with who. You had heard horror stories of people who's soulmate didn't bear their name. You didn't believe a single word of it though, why would a name be imprinted into your wrist if you weren't able to meet them?
So what was the name on your wrist?
Levi Ackerman
You found that name to be simple yet beautiful and wondered what face would be attached to that name.
Some people dated even though they knew that the person they were dating wasn't their soulmate. You didn't understand any of it, why are people dating people they know they don't belong with.
You were naïve, and as you graduated high school and then college you began to realize that. Most people had already met their soulmate and were beginning to live their lives together. You; however, had yet to hear anything about someone named Levi Ackerman. You began to fear you'd never meet the person you were destined to be with. Until-
You were at the bar casually drinking. You were lost in your thoughts staring into your drink when you heard the bar tender ask a man if he wanted the usual. Generally you discard this information and ignore the conversation beside you but the bartender had called out a name very familiar to you - Levi.
You continued listening in, waiting for a last name to be mentioned and when it was you gasped quietly- Ackerman. The man you've been waiting for your whole life. You looked up to your supposed soulmate. You noticed was his steely grey eyes and how he was extremely attractive. You silently thanked the heavens for setting you up with a man so handsome.
"Does your name happen to be Levi Ackerman?" You asked quietly yet eagerly. If this man was your soulmate...
"Yes it does why do you ask?" He said coldly. You tensed up, you didn't expect him to be so mean.
"Well um because..." You said quietly and showed him your wrist.
His eyes widened a fraction and he sharply inhaled. You bit your lip in anticipation, you hoped that you were also his soulmate. You could hear your heart thudding against your chest and your breathing become more sporadic.
He slowly extended his wrist-

A smile crept onto your face and you looked up to his eyes to see pity. Your smile fell.
"I'm married" Levi said, showing you his wedding ring. "I never thought I'd meet you after all this time.."
You could feel the tears well up. "Oh... Well I hope your happy with her, are you her soulmate?"
"Yes." He said before paying for two drinks and heading for a table with a small ginger girl sitting in one of two seats.
"Who was that honey?" You heard the girl say.
"No one." Levi said before sitting down and looking at her in admiration... like you wanted him to look at you.
The tears you were holding back spilled out and you left a tip on the table and rushed out of the bar.
You couldn't breathe between your sobs, or see through the tears that clouded your eyes. You didn't see the car that didn't stop at the stop sign when you crossed the street. You couldn't hear the screams of bystanders as they saw you get thrown across the street. You couldn't hear anything over the ringing echoing through your tears.

"A tragic incident happened last night involving a young girl named y/n l/n. She was hit by a speeding car and was unfortunately killed..."
"That happened right outside the bar we were at Levi, I'm glad we didn't leave early." Petra said looking over to her husband who had a shocked look on his face. "Levi are you alright?" Petra asked placing her hand over Levi's clenched hands.
He shook his head lightly, "Yeah... I'm fine." He said pulling his sleeve down to cover her name.
He wished he waited for her instead of marrying Petra so quickly. He loved Petra but was getting annoyed with her so quickly nowadays. Maybe you would have been better for him.

Levi Ackerman x Reader | Soulmate Mishap
"Look at me- just breathe, okay?"
Those were the words you despised to hear and hoping that you won't be hearing soon enough.
Those were the words that your soulmate will last say to you before they disappear from your life.
Will they die? No one knows.
It was just proven that the words visible behind your eyelids are the words to be uttered before the latter's disappearance.
Life is full of words.
Each person has them.
The words that were written on your wrist, to be uttered by your soulmate on your first meeting.
And the words that were only visible to you, placed behind your eyelids. The choice on whether you tell them or not, reli

(Levi x Reader SOULMATE AU) Just be happy, please.
You could see the red string. The red string that connected you to your soulmate, the one person on the entire earth, who was made for you.
What you hated the most though, was that it was attached to the male sitting on the couch beside your roommate, peppering kisses onto her face and tickling her sides, making her giggle; a giggle that sounded so lovely, like twinkling bells and pure happiness.
You see, the thing is, only one person could see the string. The other, would have to wander the earth, blindly guessing. And sometimes, the two blindly guessing people, end up marrying, never discovering their destined other half.
And if that wa

Levi was never the man to love someone. He would constantly remind himself that love was a stupid and a pointless emotion. He constantly thought that he was a man that no one would ever love nor care about. Levi made a shell around himself, not allowing anyone to break through and read his real feelings; the ones hidden under.
Love was only an illusion.
Yet why was there a timer on his wrist, counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until he would meet his destined one?
